It was Spring Break and Jacob was visiting his Grandparents out in Peoria. Chelsea and Jacob met very briefly while he was down in Arizona and started talking but didn't quite think much of it at the time. At this time Jacob was finishing out his Senior year at North Western in MN and Chelsea was at Arizona State University in AZ. Luckily enough Chelsea's beautiful Bridesmaid Kara had bought her a plane ticket to come visit as a graduation gift. While Chelsea was out visiting Kara, Jacob met them for bowling and took her on their very first date, a picnic at Minnehaha Falls followed by a little trip to the Zoo. At this time they both knew this could be something very special but neither of them had set plans after school so they tried not to get too excited. Well God definitely had a plan because straight out of College Jacob was able to land a job in Phoenix and Chelsea in Tempe and they have been together happily ever since!
It was a surprisingly cool and overcast for an AZ Summers day which is already quite the blessing. Jacob had asked Chelsea earlier in the week if she could take a trip to Tonto's Natural Bridge to try out his new backpack, (Little did Chelsea know this was plan A). Unfortunately Chelsea had to work that weekend so they weren't able to go hiking but Jacob asked if she would still want to go on a little hike since the weather was just so nice. After work she met up with him and they went on a hike to their favorite local spot Papago Park. They were hiking up to their favorite spot to look out and watch the sunset when Chelsea looked out at the beautiful horizon and stated "Wow I can't believe how many incredible memories we have had up here, it's just so beautiful" It was at this moment that she turned around and saw Jacob on one knee as he asked her "Ready to make one more memory?" Chelsea was SO excited she couldn't even let Jacob put the ring on her. He then let Chelsea know that her family was at her parents house to celebrate with them once they ready to head down the mountain. It was the most perfectly them moment and they could not have been any happier!
