We met in college but really met in Brittany's dorm living room, where we stayed up until 4am reading scary stories on r/NoSleep.
Brittany is not great with surprises and spoils everything for herself, so Sean knew he had to propose the day after he picked up the ring. We went to Harold Parker State Forest for a morning hike, where Sean snuck the ring onto Zora's harness. (Brittany is still annoyed that she didn't notice it for the 10 minutes the dog was walking in front of her.) We stopped at a favorite spot—an off-trail rock cluster that looks out over a lake—and while Brittany was turned away, Sean said, "Zora, what's stuck on your harness?" Brittany thought he said, "Zora, what's in your mouth?!" and turned around in a panic. And there Sean was, on a knee with Zora, asking, "Will you marry me?"
Brittany's ring is her dream come true. She's been trying on engagement rings for fun since she was 13, but she never expected to be able to have a custom ring. We worked with Hannah Florman (Boston, MA) to use diamonds from two very special rings to create one very special Elinor. Brittany gave new life to a ring she bought herself in college that no longer fit to make her band, Florence. Sean, also one for a unique ring story, worked with Staghead Designs to create his band of antler and ironwood.
