FAQs

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There will be a limited number of parking spaces available at the end of Birch Point Drive in the driveway of our venue. We ask that these spaces be reserved for our guests who may struggle to walk the road. All other guests will need to park on the side of the East Cottage Road, and walk the 0.2 miles down to the end of North Birch Point Drive. Please be careful not to block the road or any private driveways.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Whatever you're comfortable in! We don't much care what you're wearing, as long as you're there to celebrate with us!

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

Yes, lots! We plan on doing potluck style dining as well as getting some yummy pizza from the local store. If you're interested in bringing something to share, please include this when you RSVP!

Question

Where am I going?

Answer

6 North Birch Point Drive in Portage Lake, Maine. The venue is a private camp right on the lake. We ask that our guests be mindful of neighbors when coming/going.

Question

How long should I stay?

Answer

Stay as long or as little as you'd like. The most important thing to us is that we get to share our ceremony with YOU, the people we care about. We plan on having the ceremony about 5:00pm, but anyone who knows me knows I am never quite on time. The ceremony will be followed by food, music, and a bonfire if the weather allows.

Question

Alcohol?

Answer

This is a bring your own booze event. If you plan on drinking, bring something for yourself. We don't mind, but please be sure you have a designated driver so everyone is safe!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Yes yes YES! We’d love to have them too. This is a child friendly event. We just ask that you let us know they’ll be coming when you RSVP so we can be sure we have things to interest them as well!

Question

Plus one?

Answer

We are more than okay with this! Please just be sure you let us know you’ll be bringing someone when you RSVP so we can be sure we know how many people will be attending.
