What should we expect at this vow renewal?

Answer

The Cobbles’ vow renewal is a small, intimate gathering to celebrate our love, our family, and our 5-year wedding anniversary! Since our actual wedding was cancelled 2 weeks prior to the festivities (thaaaanks, Covid 🙄) and we eloped instead, this is a chance to finally have our ceremony and to have some memorable photos taken by our trusted photographer. Think of this as a big party for all, kids included! ✨

I received my invite! Can I get a Plus One (or two or three)?

Answer

Your invite will state if you have a Plus One (or more), and when you RSVP you will do so for all invitees on your docket. Sorry, we have limited space for this intimate gathering, so not all will have a Plus One included 😔

I am travelling in from out of town. What hotels do you recommend?

Answer

Thoroughbred Hall is located in the heart of Jeffersontown, a suburb of Louisville, KY! We highly recommend staying in the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Louisville East, on Alliant Avenue. This hotel is a 5 minute drive from the venue and is comfy and budget friendly! - https://www.ihg.com/holidayinnexpress/hotels/us/en/louisville/sdfbr/hoteldetail For a fancier stay, we recommend the Omni Hotel in Downtown Louisville. This is around a 20-25 minute drive from the venue, depending on traffic. Don’t forget to enjoy Bob’s Chop House if you choose to stay at the Omni 🤤

Where can I park for the vow renewal?

Answer

Thoroughbred Hall has its own small lot, and free parking is available in the back of the venue, too! There will be plenty of spots :)

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

There will be limited beer and wine available for the reception. You are welcome to get “loose”, but please drink responsibly! The bride, the groom, and their attendants reserve the right to remove you from the festivities if you are being a hot mess 🤷🏾‍♀️

Tell me about the dress code? Can I wear cosplay if it matches your theme?

Answer

We require business casual or formal attire for our vow renewal. No Tee-shirts. No shorts. No jeans. No flip-flops. No roller skates. If you want some extra pizzazz, think flowy sleeves and gowns. Sharp suits. Sparkles. Dreamy colours. That sort of thing 🥰 The bride, the groom, and their attendants reserve the right to ask you to leave if you are out of dress code, and no one wants that 😭

Will there be food served?

Answer

There will not be a 5-course meal with an ice sculpture, but yes, you will leave with a full belly 🥰 If you have any dietary restrictions, please let Angela and Zach know asap (like NOW as you’re reading this) so they can ensure you have something yummy to eat 🤤

Can I get a photograph with the bride and groom?

Answer

All members of the wedding party and all family members will be in multiple memorable photos with the bride and groom, taken in-between the ceremony and the reception! All guests will also have a photo opportunity as the bride and groom schmooze around the reception with their photographer in tow. You will also be featured in fun candids! We will send a link to the full photo album following the festivities for you to enjoy 🎉

What if I am sick last minute?

Answer

If you have legit allergies or something, feel free to come if you’re up to it! If you are SICK sick (especially if you have a fever), please let us know and stay home 😭 We hope to see all invitees there on our big day, but we don’t want this to be one of “Those Weddings” where half of the guests fall ill by Monday 🥴 We hate that we even have to post this, but we’ve seen this be an issue at many events recently, and several invitees are immunocompromised, elderly, or young children that will have difficulty fighting off illnesses!
