At an audition for a local community theater production of Chicago, we met while continually running, well, dancing, right into each other. After three months of rehearsing and performing and talking, flirting, and goofing off back stage together, we realized there was something there. Call it a showmance!

Over Labor Day weekend, we took some of our family out to one of our very favorite places in Cape May, Nauti Spirits Distillery. Richard suggested we look at the veggies at their farm-stand. As we walked back to our table, he asked me to untangle our puppy, Ada, from the picnic table's legs. On Ada's harness was a tag that read "Marry my daddy?" with the day's date! When I realized what was happening, and looked up from Ada, Richard was on one knee asking me to marry him.
