So we actually met through Match.com! Crazy right! I know. We talked for several weeks and finally Todd asked if I would be willing to have dinner with him. I of course immediately said YES! We made plans to meet that weekend at a local restaurant that I went to often. We were both very nervous but ended up having the best conversation and dinner. We even had spies sitting across the restaurant from us making sure we were ok. Four hours later we decided to go to the bowling ally and play a couple of games. We ended up with a tied score after two games. We had so much fun I couldn't wait to see him again.
So after being together for almost 2 years we finally decided to get a house together. This was an exhausting experience for both of us but we finally got our home on December 30, 2016. We promptly started tearing down walls and making it our own. It's still a work in progress but we love our little slice of heaven.
March 16, 2019 is a day I will NEVER forget! Now let me start this by saying we never actually talked about getting married. Todd had made it clear that this was not something he wanted right from the start of our relationship. I had gotten upset with this fact one time with him but I knew that even if we never got married it wasn't going to change how I felt about him. Well was I in for a major surprise! He had been planning the proposal for several weeks if not months and I had no idea! The week before he kept telling me that he was trying to make me something but he couldn't figure out how to do it. I tried to help but he wouldn't let me. It was a surprise. Apparently though half our friends and family were in on the surprise which I found out later. ;0) That Saturday I got home from spending the day with my daughter and mom. When I got home Todd told me that he had something for me. I'm still thinking at this point that it was something for the house. He came out with a little round box with a purple bow on it. He said, "You have to put it together." I was very confused but sat down at the kitchen table and put together a puzzle. He then had me read it out loud. I read the sweetest thing I have ever read and immediately started crying. I turned around and he was on one knee holding this beautiful ring with tears in his eyes! I can not tell you how very blessed and loved I am by and with this amazing man.
So as you already know we are getting married on September 28, 2019. I can not wait! While we would love to have everyone present when we exchange vows we have decided to keep this part very small and only will have about 20 people with us for this. We can not wait to celebrate with all of you though! Please join us for the reception following the ceremony. We will have tons of food and lots of dancing. Please bring your own adult beverages if you would like. We can not supply these.
