YES- our ceremony and reception are at the same location, our gorgeous venue- the Black Mountain Lodge at Arapahoe Basin Mountain. For guests not taking the shuttle, we are asking that you gather at 6th Alley Bar and Grill. You can meet here anytime to grab a drink and hangout until we will be ready to load onto the chairlift to take us to the exact ceremony site. FYI- there is free parking at the venue and you may leave your car overnight.
YES- we look forward to celebrating with our guests in style. Our wedding guest attire is Black Tie Optional, which means to wear traditional black-tie (tuxedo/ball gown) or opt for formal attire (dark suit/cocktail dress), providing flexibility while signaling a formal, elegant event. This is a middle ground where you can lean into full formality or choose sophisticated alternatives like floor-length dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or dark suits with ties, you are okay to also wear bright/light colors.
September in the Colorado Mountains offers beautiful fall weather, with warm, sunny days (highs often in the 60s-70s°F) and cool nights (dropping to the 30s-40s°F).
We have carefully curated our guest list, and we are so excited to celebrate our special day with our family and closest friends. Plus ones are by invitation only. We ask guests to please not bring a plus one, unless it is specified and approved by us. Online RSVPs will have your name and your plus one listed. Thank you for understanding!
Denver sits at 5,280 feet - one mile above sea level. Keystone sits even higher at 9,280 feet. Everyone's body reacts to elevation differently. Some people don't notice anything at all, while other people notice elevation changes more strongly. If you are traveling from out of town, here are some recommendations for how to make sure the altitude doesn't get you down: 1) Arrive early and enjoy Colorado activities. The surest way to help your body feel comfortable with altitude is to give it an extra day or two to adjust. Both Denver and the mountains are amazing places to vacation - make a trip out it! 2) Be careful with alcohol: People coming from sea level typically feel the effects of alcohol more strongly and more quickly than normal when they are at high altitudes. Stay aware of how much you're drinking. Remember, 1 drink at altitude = 2 drinks at sea level. 3) Drink a ton of water: The air in Colorado is very dry and it's very easy to get dehydrated. Drink way more water than you think you need. 4) Wear sunscreen: The sun is stronger at higher elevations and it's very easy to get burned. Put on sunscreen whenever you spend time outside. Don’t forget lip balm! We look forward to celebrating with you all! Please check back for more information closer to the wedding.
YES! We will have shuttles pick up our guests from the Hyatt Hotel at 3:15pm, 3:30pm, and 3:45pm. Our shuttles will run in a loop and will ensure everyone is picked up. Shuttles will ONLY pickup from the Hyatt Hotel. The shuttle will resume service at 8:00pm and will continue to run on a loop, it is important to note that the shuttles departing at 9:30pm or later will be taking guests to the After Party Location rather than the hotel.
Yes we do! Please see our travel section where we have listed our hotel blocks!
Of course, if you have a food allergy- please inform us when you RSVP. We want to accommodate your health concerns.
Upon arriving at our venue, our guests will be transported to our wedding ceremony site via chairlift. If you are nervous about taking the chairlift, please watch this video to prepare you for it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4a0qzVMaToo
The ceremony as well as cocktail hour will be outside on the patio of Black Mountain Lodge while the reception will be inside where we will continue with dinner and dancing.
As much as we love your little ones, we respectfully request an adults-only celebration.
If you're afraid of heights, have a disability or have a small child that you don't want going on the chairlift, please let us know! We can provide transportation for those who need it! NOTE: PLEASE LET US KNOW THIS WELL IN ADVANCE
Everyone must bring a valid ID if they want to drink. A picture of an ID on a phone is not a valid form of ID. A download of an ID onto Colorado's MyColorado app is acceptable. A-Basin is currently not accepting downloads of IDs onto other states apps.
