FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM, so we recommend arriving by 3:30 PM / 3:45 PM to get settled and find your seat. You don’t want to miss the big moment!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, the dress code is Formal. Tuxes and gowns are welcome, but suits and cocktail dresses are just as great! Please no jeans, polos, or anything too casual—we're keeping it classy for the day!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Our wedding day is an intimate celebration with our closest family and friends. We kindly ask that you respect our decision to limit 'plus ones' to those who are married or in long-term relationships. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can I bring my kids to the wedding?

Answer

Yes, kids are welcome! Just make sure they're dressed to impress (and maybe skip the superhero capes for the day). However, we won’t have any official babysitters on duty, so you’ll need to keep an eye on your little ones. We suggest you brush up on your child-wrangling skills! If your kiddos will be joining, please be sure to include them in your RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What's on the Menu?

Answer

We’ll be posting the full menu on this website about a month before the wedding—so be sure to check back! In the meantime, please make sure to include any food allergies or dietary restrictions when submitting your RSVP so we can plan accordingly and make sure everyone is taken care of.

Question

Is the bar cash or open?

Answer

There will be a cash bar.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are plenty of hotel options in the area, including some right next to the venue! For your convenience, we've reserved a block rooms at Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown River North (connected to the venue). Be sure to book early to secure your spot. If the block is fully booked and you would like to be added, please call the hotel, and they can assist you in securing a room within the block. Feel free to explore other nearby options if you prefer!

Question

What time is hotel check-in, and can I arrive early?

Answer

Standard check-in at the hotel is 4:00 PM on both Thursday and Friday. However, due to the ceremony starting at 4pm, the hotel has kindly let us know they’ll do their best to make rooms available earlier for our guests, and all early check-in fees will be waived. If your room isn’t ready when you arrive—or if you get in late—the front desk will happily hold your luggage for you.
