Nate and Erin caught each other's eye at a birthday party over winter break freshman year of college. Erin was going to school in Kentucky and Nate was at SEMO. They started dating long distance through the spring semester of freshman year and fall of sophomore year. Then, Nate convinced Erin to transfer her classes to SEMO.
