The street car has no A/C, but does have open windows. Temperature in April can range from 70-90.
The St. Charles Ave Streetcar line is the oldest continuously operating street railway in the world dating back to 1835. The St. Charles Ave. street cars are the only authentic street cars in the city, dating back to the 1920s. In 1973, the wood trimmed, olive green street cars were put on the National Register of Historic Landmarks and required to operate just as they had in the 1920s. ** There will be no getting on and off of the streetcar once it takes off. We will take a ride down St. Charles Ave before steering off onto a dead track for the ceremony.
