It was an easy choice for Dave to pick his younger and only brother as his best man. Only because Dave forgave Jeremy for hitting him with a golf club when they were younger. When they are not tormenting or wrestling one another, they are cheering on the Terps, grilling up some sausages, or relaxing on the beach together. You can catch Jeremy chatting up the DJ at the wedding.

Heather and Jackie became sisters by marriage, but became friends by choice. Some of their fondest memories together are from multiple girl’s trips, where they are often the last ones standing. Vegas will always be a highlight, but what happens in Vegas… You can catch Heather on the dance floor at the wedding, singing every lyric and absolutely tearing it up.
Nick Sumski

Cue Jackie’s oldest and only brother. Dave will never forget meeting Nick for the first time. Nick picked Dave and Jackie up from the airport in a giant pick-up truck, equipped with many adult beverages, and rowdy friends. Their relationship has been filled with nothing but adventure and fun events, and no big brother intimidation tactics.

Friends since Girl Scouts, dance, and soccer, Melissa is one of Jackie’s longest friends. Her sense of adventure and down-to-earth personality make her the kind of friend you can do anything with. When they are together, it is like no time has passed. They can even still belt out every song from American Idol karaoke. Hey DJ…Melissa is requesting you play “Eye of the Tiger”
Nate Lawless
Groomsman
Also goes by Nathan, Nasty Nate, Nat, Lil’ Nate. Jackie will argue that Nate was her friend first, but that Dave stole him. They met at the University of Maryland working Intramural Sports, but didn’t become close until after Dave graduated, bonding over reffing and all things sports. Now they are inseparable and even work together at Towson University. When he’s not being grumpy, Nate is always down for concerts, football games, or other third-wheel activities. Although he was hoping to be the flower girl, groomsmen will do.
Alex Mozak

They found each other in 5th grade drama class and quickly became best friends. Their friendship was fueled by McDonald’s sweet teas, coffee runs, and laughs. Although there are too many to count, some of their favorite memories include surviving a Halloween hay ride in the woods and Jackie almost getting kicked out of Alex’s jiu jitsu class. Alex is always building her friends up and has remained an important sounding board for Jackie.
Mike Fischer

Mike (“Joey”) and Dave met in middle school and have remained best friends ever since. Dave was Mike's best man at his wedding in 2013 and has had the pleasure of watching his best friend step into the role of Dad. Die-hard Orioles fans, they both enjoy catching games together whenever they can, whether at Camden Yards or Spring Training in Florida where Mike lives.
Lindsay Ruhlin
Bridesmaid
Lindsay and Jackie became friends in high school and have kept their friendship alive despite the miles between them. Lindsay’s infectious laugh and kind heart have solidified her as a lifelong friend. Jackie and Lindsay also make excellent canoeing partners. Although their conversations are mostly through video chats these days, you can bet they both will have tears in their eyes from laughing so hard.
Kurt Klier

Dave met Kurt as a freshman in college, reffing Intramural Sports. He quickly went from boss to one of Dave’s best friends. Kurt is also credited with hiring Jackie as an Intramural Supervisor, where Dave and Jackie would then meet. Countless road trips, conferences, fancy dinners, Kurt has always been in Dave’s corner offering advice and his unwavering friendship.
