We first met in 2016 when our mutual friends, Loni and Kyle, introduced us. Ross likes to say that he was "spitting hot fire" during that initial conversation. (I think that means that he thinks he was smooth talking and totally irresistible). Somehow I managed to resist, excusing myself from the conversation and telling him I would "be right back." And I did come back... almost a year later. In 2017, we met again on the soccer field. Ross nearly ran me over during a heated game. He says I was in the way. I say he was too aggressive. A few months later Ross took me on our first date. It was complete with holiday ice sculptures and a ferris wheel ride. I didn't appreciate then how much Ross hates heights, but now I know he'll do just about anything for me. Ross proposed on December 7, 2019, while celebrating that special first date two years later. We didn't take a ferris wheel ride, but he did drop to one knee (on solid ground) with it twirling in the background.
