FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. We love your kids--we really do! But we want our wedding to be your night off! Also, due to venue restrictions, limited seats and having so many people we want to share our special day with, we didn't have room to swing it.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is ample parking at High Acre Farm. If you should need to leave a car at High Acre Farm, it will need to be picked up by 9:00 am on Sunday. (A shuttle to and from the Hotel will be provided) *Uber is most likely not available in Piqua/Troy

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, a shuttle will be provided from Home 2 Suites in Troy before the wedding and at the end of the night. No drinking and driving!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes, we are registered at Macy's, Amazon, and Zola.

Question

How did you meet?

Answer

It was love at first swipe. We met on Bumble and had our 1st date on June 30, 2018. We went to Local Cantina and Pins in Dublin. Julie knew right away this was going to be something special. Ryan's night was a little blurry, but he knew it too.

Question

How did Ryan propose?

Answer

We went out to dinner at Hyde Park Steakhouse to "celebrate Ryan's Promotion." Afterward, we were going to walk across the bridge at Bridge Park, but it was pouring down rain. (The original plan was to propose on the bridge.) We still walked, with a giant umbrella. Plan B was to do it at VASO, the rooftop bar. The hostess sat us right next to the DJ, we couldn't hear anything. We left there quickly and went to Local Cantina. We ordered margaritas at the bar and then the table where we had our first date opened up. Ryan went to the bar, got us shots of tequila, and enlisted the help of a few people to record. Ryan said sweet words as toast but it took Julie forever to take the shot. Eventually, she did, and then Ryan got down on one knee and proposed.
