Wedding Party

In their own words, our friends and family in our wedding party share a bit about how we met and their favorite memories with us.

Lisa Mihalich Quinn

Best Human

Corie and Lisa met while teaching at Pyle Middle School, and first bonded over a frying pan of latkes. Over the years, Corie and Lisa have spent significant time together in nature, running, complaining about running, training for triathlons, drinking bourbon, and just sitting near each other without talking, introvert style.

Best Human

Welp, I met you shortly after you came out of the womb since I wasn't allowed in for the big arrival. After spending the day before at a circus (and ripping a dollar in half) then the night on boy sheets at the Marino household, I finally got to meet you. I have no idea how that went or what you even looked like but I got to meet you the next day. So many memories since we grew up together, but one of the favs is putting you in a bucket and pouring water onto your head, and the time you tripped up the stairs, destroyed your shin and I was mad cause you were late picking up dad but you were hurt and actually bleeding, then the time we drove from Clearfield to Hilton Head in a car without cruise control, too many times to count, but it was pretty legit being your sister all these years.

Chris Cuadra

Best Man

Mic and I met in 7th grade in Mr. Grimes' biology class. We sat at the same table. I was very shy, but I overheard Mic and another student talking about Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. I bought the game the previous weekend. Mic asked if I had the game, what part I was at, and from there the rest was history as he would ask everyday. We were also in the same French class, where the phrase “Doner moi un bia” (give me a dollar) would follow us into today. In 7th grade we took a trip to the Holocaust Museum. The moment came when we were waiting for buses to arrive so we could leave the museum; Mic races for $1 outside of the museum, first to the top back down the steps. On the way back down to the bottom, Mic tripped and flipped all the way to the bottom. He survived and won that dollar.

Well, it all started when Ric needed another driver for Adventure Camp. haha... I remember running the first KNO when you took over Meadow Hall and seeing how much you had grown by the end of the year picnic. Adventure Camp has been the foundation and rock of our friendship. Through the years we’ve worked together, you’re always there to put out the fires real or otherwise. I knew there was a spark with Corie when I heard about the trip you all went on with the Quinns. The timing never got quite right until that January in 2018 when there was a group of us in Olney. I’m sure you sort of remember that night and Ledos Pizza. Fire pits at Nicole’s, yelling hi over the phone in OC and Busch Gardens, helping move in some of the very last stuff. It’s all been great and I love ya both ❤️💙💛

I had the privilege to start my relationship with Corie as her coworker, and he gradually adopted me over the past four years. From lunch-time covens at work, to happy hours, to the couple of bulresque shows I've dragged her to, my favorite memory with Corie has to be New Year's Eve 2019. We played games (of which Corie won A LOT), enjoyed a fire, and rang in the new year surrounded by laughter and love.

Bridesmaid

I met Corie during my first year teaching at Pyle. After discovering a Pittsburgh connection and appreciating when Corie would share her materials for the one English class I had to teach on top of history, I figured we should be friends. Since then there have bene many good time including trips taken during school breaks and relaxing New Year's Eves in when going out was not appealing. I'm looking forward to being a part of Corie's special day!

Erin Stewart

Bridesmaid

I've known Corie since she was born because I am her cousin and I am older! I still remember standing in my kitchen as a little girl and hearing the phone ring with the news that she had been born! I have so many fun memories that it is hard to pick just one. We've been to the beach, Kennywood, and many Pirate games together. We've spent lots of New Year's Eves together, too: eating, laughing, and playing games. We've celebrated happy events together and cried together during the difficult times. We share a love of books and animals. I am so proud of Corie and so thankful that she is my little cousin.

*4th player has entered the game* "Hey Chris we need a 4th!" That's when you got invited to a party chat and became the 4th player in the group. I didn't actually meet you in person until a few months later when Chris told me that you were coming to play football with us and some friends. This was spring of 2007. Since then you have became a loyal 4th member to our online party. 13 years going on 14 of a strong bond. From going to parties, long nights on guitar hero and rock band, being part of the same flag football team, and picking me up in Call of Duty when I spend most of my time dying, I am honored to call you one of my best friends.

Groomsman

Corie and Mic met at one of our Annual BBQs we throw every year. But they really got to know each other when Mic accepted my invitation to come to the beach. Mic said to me “I really want to get to know her. I’m gonna ask her thought provoking questions.” He did ask her those questions. And she cried. I guess they were too thought provoking. But it was a connection they built on that trip. My best memory of them was when we were all at the beach together. Corie was dating someone else. But, they seemed to click. But really it was when Mic wore Corie's teal shorts.
