Solomon's Island is a great place to walk. First, the view is amazing of the Thomas Johnson bridge. You can walk the pier and there are plenty of restaurants/bars, stores, and ice cream shops to explore! :)

This is a great option for local history. St. Mary's city is Maryland's first settlement in 1634. For 61 years, it was the colonial capital.
They have art of display (indoor and outdoor). There are fairy gardens to walk through. :)
The best local museum. They have the iconic lighthouse, small aquarium (otters, stingrays), and tons of local history.
