Steven and Alexis met in their college psychology class in 2018. On the first day, as the class was ending and everyone was packing up to leave, Alexis noticed a good-looking, dark-haired guy covered in tattoos walking up to talk to the professor. They didn’t make eye contact, but Alexis felt an immediate curiosity and knew she wanted to get to know him better. A few weeks into the class, Steven began sitting right in front of Alexis. She seized every opportunity to strike up a conversation before or after class. Later in the semester, their class had an outing for a school event where they had to form groups and listen to various people share their life stories and experiences. Alexis and Steven ended up walking to the event together, their conversation flowing naturally. They joined the same group so they could continue talking and spending time together. By the end of the event, they walked to the parking lot together, and Steven asked for Alexis’ phone number. After a few days of texting, Steven asked her out on a date. On October 20, 2018, Steven and Alexis went on their first date, hiking Camelback Mountain. It was a tough hike, with many breaks along the way, but they talked and laughed the entire time. They quickly set up a second date for the following weekend, then a third, and many, many more after that! Now, after six years together, Alexis and Steven love each other more with every passing day. They share a home with their two fur babies: a service dog named Chamber and a cat named Fenrys.
