Pat and Erin "officially" met at a bar named Whitlow's in Arlington, Virginia on a Friday night through mutual friends. Pat lived in NYC at the time and was in town visiting a friend from college. To say things did not start out on the right foot would be putting it lightly. Erin claims she hated Pat after their first interaction. However, the next day, Erin hosted a St. Patrick's Day party that Pat attended. Erin's feelings for Pat changed after he hid a container of Rice Krispy treats under her pillow so that other friends would not eat them.

Pat, living in NYC, and Erin, living in Arlington, VA, decided to continue their relationship by visiting one another and facetiming constantly. In May 2019, just 2 months after meeting, Erin visited Pat in NYC, and they decided to officially continue their long distance relationship exclusively. In June 2019, one month later, on yacht week in Greece, Pat officially confirmed (again) that Erin was his girlfriend and the rest is history!

Erin and Pat planned to move in together in June 2020. However, in March 2020, Erin took a train to NYC to quarantine with Pat and never left! Erin and Pat shared his one bedroom apartment in Manhattan during the peak times of COVID and really put their relationship to the test- moving from long distance to 24/7. Luckily, their relationship has turned out to be stronger than ever! In May 2020, Erin and Pat moved into their apartment in Jersey City together. Then, in June 2020, they brought home their adorable puppy, Whitlow.

Erin told Pat that he was not allowed to propose in 2020 due to all of the changes in their lives, so once 2021 hit, Erin became extremely anxious and excited about Pat proposing, preparing for it to happen with every date or outing. Little did she know, it would not happen for 4 months! On April 2, 2021, Pat had made dinner reservations at Hamilton Inn, one of Erin and Pat's favorite restaurants in Jersey City. Throughout dinner, Pat was texting and glancing at his phone frequently, so Erin became increasingly suspicious that something was going on. After dinner, as Erin and Pat were walking through Hamilton Park, Pat stopped Erin next to the Gazebo, with Erin's sister Danielle (maid of honor) hiding to take pictures, and handed her a note that said "you really are the one". Then he got down on one knee and proposed! After proposing, Erin, Pat, and Danielle walked the 0.5 mile back to Erin and Pat's apartment. Waiting at the apartment to surprise Erin were Erin and Pat's parents, who they had not seen in months due to COVID!
