FAQs

Question

What areas should we look for hotels?

Answer

The venue is in Williamsburg Brooklyn and so that would be closest. It is also a 5 minute walk to the ferry terminal from midtown Manhattan (34th street) and a 7-8 minute walk from the L train so anywhere in midtown Manhattan would also work.

Question

What does a Colourful cocktail dress code mean?

Answer

The theme we are using for the wedding is pink and purple but we want our guests to feel comfortable wearing any colourful outfit they would like. Please see the gallery for ideas for outfits and the link below shows what sort of items fall into cocktail attire. https://www.brides.com/cocktail-attire-wedding-4844364

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

The venue does not have dedicated parking but is close to the ferry terminal and L train.

Question

Will the entire reception be outside? And what sort of weather should we dress for?

Answer

The venue has both an inside and outside roof terrace. The ceremony will be outside and the DJ, bar and food service will be inside. The first few days in October are usually quite nice and so some tables will be set up outside for guests who want to enjoy their meal and drinks in the outside area. Temperatures can range and this date has seen temperatures between 54f (12c) and 91f (32c) in the past few years so it may be worth bringing a light jacket. There is a cloakroom available. Both the inside and outside portions of the venue are large enough to accommodate all guests should the weather force us in.

Question

Is the bar open or cash?

Answer

The bar is open. There will be some specialty cocktails, non-alcoholic cocktails, beer, wine, juice and soda available.
