This 1919 architectural gem first came to life as a railway station, envisioned by John Russell Pope, the same architect who designed our reception venue, The Branch Museum. It's packed with fun and interesting exhibits for all ages.
Maymont boasts the oldest Japanese garden on the East coast, dating back to 1911. Once you've explored this portion of Maymont, check out the rest of the historic Gilded Age estate which includes an 1893 Romanesque-style mansion, the Italian garden and other speciality gardens, and an interactive farm (perfect for kids!).

This is a local chain of Peruvian-style rotisserie chicken, and we really love getting takeout from here! Make sure you try the fried yucca and end your meal with an alfajor (basically a large dulce de leche sandwich cookie).
