We're planning a beautiful yet intimate ceremony on the beach, and we'd love to have you there! Please plan to arrive around 5pm at William Randolph Hearst Memorial Beach. The ceremony will be on the beach! There is plenty of parking, we recommend to park in the overflow parking. Once you arrive, feel free to mingle and enjoy each other's company while soft music from a small Bluetooth speaker sets the mood. When we're ready, the wedding party will walk in traditional style (one bridesmaid with one groomsman), followed by Haylee and her stepfather, John Elmose, walking her down to the shoreline. Our officiant, Kelly Garrison, will share a few words to set the tone for the ceremony. Stew and Haylee will exchange vows and rings, seal it with a kiss, and we'll all celebrate together before heading to San Simeon Bar & Grill for an afterparty. A professional photographer will be capturing moments throughout the ceremony and at our reception/party. We're keeping everything simple and joyful—we can't wait to celebrate with you!
Parking at William Randolph Hearst Memorial beach is very generous. Parking is also free. We recommend parking in the overflow parking to reduce your distance from the ceremony location. Coordinates of the overflow parking are 35.64358° N, 121.18825° W.
We'd love for you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident—whether that's formal attire, something casual, or anything in between. The most important thing is that you're there celebrating with us. One small request: please avoid wearing all white. We can't wait to share this day with you!
We'd love to celebrate with you and your family! However, due to beach permitting regulations, we're keeping our guest count intentionally intimate. If you're planning to bring a plus-one or children, please reach out to us directly so we can discuss accommodations and ensure we can welcome your group comfortably.
Absolutely! We'd love to spend some time mingling on the beach after the ceremony. However, our beach permit is time-limited, so we won't be able to linger for long. We'll then head to San Simeon Bar & Grill which is conveniently nearby, where we can celebrate together and enjoy more time as a group.
We highly recommend staying the night at San Simeon Lodge in San Simeon or any nearby hotel in San Simeon, Cambria, or along the nearby SLO County beaches. It's a wonderful way to make the most of your time with us while keeping travel stress to a minimum.
Yes! We'll be gathering at San Simeon Bar & Grill for a relaxed evening. Food and drinks will be available for purchase at guest expense. You can explore the menu options at www.sansimeonlodge.net/restaurant.php Please note that the restaurant closes at 9:30pm. Since San Simeon Bar & Grill is located on the hotel property, we highly recommend considering a stay at the hotel for added convenience, excellent pricing, and an ideal location. It's the perfect spot to unwind and extend the celebration after the reception.
While alcoholic beverages and smoking aren't permitted on California beaches including Shamel park, we understand the appeal of enjoying a drink or a smoke by the water. We simply ask that you be respectful and responsible. We won't make a fuss if we happen to notice, but please do clean up after yourself and take everything with you when you leave. We're also not responsible for any ticketing that may occur, as rangers and police do patrol the beach for open alcoholic beverages. This also includes vaping, smoking any type of tobacco, cigars, cigarettes and Marijuana. Thank you for helping us keep the beach beautiful!
Absolutely! We'd love for you to capture the moment. While we'll have a professional photographer documenting the day, we genuinely appreciate photos taken on personal phones and cameras as well. Feel free to snap away!
