When should I RSVP by?

Question

How can I book my stay?

Answer

Please keep in mind that October is a highly sought after month to book. Rates change weekly and are likely to increase closer to the date of the wedding. A down payment of one night's stay is required to book through Solmar Resorts and the rest will need to be paid upon arrival to the resort.

Are you registered?

Answer

We are not creating a registry and only request your presence at our wedding.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The wedding will begin at 5:00 pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ceremony begins. Keep in mind, Cabo traffic can be very unpredictable!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. Wear bright colors and enjoy yourself! You're on vacation!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please follow the invitation. If a plus one is included, it is acceptable to bring a date. Make sure they're a good dancer!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

We highly recommend staying at a Solmar location which include: Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas, Grand Solmar The Residences, Grand Solmar Land's End, Playa Grande Resort, The Ridge at Playa Grande & Solmar Resort.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Of course we do not expect you to not bring your children on vacation with you! The ceremony and reception will be a child free ceremony and reception but childcare can be scheduled at Grand Solmar Land's End. Grand Solmar is happy to arrange for supervised childcare. Please contact their hotel concierge at least 24-hours in advance. Be sure to inquire about the cost per hour and per child.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Of course you can! Especially if you have a shellfish or nut allergy!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Since most of you will not be driving, we suggest using the shuttle that Grand Solmar provides for guests, Uber, or your standard cab. The front office can schedule a staff member to drive you to the ceremony area via a golf cart once you arrive. If you choose to walk, it takes less than 5 minutes and there are several gorgeous photo opportunities throughout the resort! Enjoy the scenery!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

If you are staying at a Solmar Resort a shuttle will be able to take you to and from every hour on the hour from 10 am through 10 pm. Uber and cabs are typically used for external resort transportation. Please tell the entry gate that you are attending the Long Wedding.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

There are no additional events beyond the wedding and reception that we request you presence, but you are more than welcome to come hang out with us by the ocean and pool throughout the week! Margaritas in hand!

Are Solmar Resorts All-Inclusive?

Answer

Solmar Resorts give an all-inclusive option but the standard nighlty rates do not include this cost. You must request the All-Inclusive Package if you would like this to be included. European plans are only the rate for the rooms during your stay. Ala Carte menus, beverage options and several restaraunts are available throughout each of the Solmar Resorts.

Do I need to bring cash to the reception to pay for alcohol or food?

Answer

All food will be paid for and provided by the bride and groom at the reception. There will be a one hour cocktail hour prior to the reception that will include hors d'oeuvres and a "cash" bar. Solmar Resorts do not take cash but you may pay for beverages via your credit card. A "cash bar" option will be available throughout the reception. If you are staying at a Solmar Resort, all charges can be made to your room and paid for at the end of your trip.
