On November 4, 2022, an oddly warm night, Stevie and Clare met at Lolita's in Fort Point, Boston for their first date. As Clare walked over from South Station, she was calm, a rarity for her on first dates. Stevie and Clare were both early, but Stevie beat Clare there and snagged a spot in the lounge near the DJ. Clare walked up to Stevie (she was so pretty!) and said hi. Stevie glanced up at her (a little wide mouthed, she couldn't believe how tall and pretty Clare was). What proceeded was the best first date either had ever been on, full of laughter and smiles. Clare and Stevie left Lolita's and hugged on the sidewalk before parting ways, and Stevie thought to herself if Clare turns around this is it. Clare turned around. For the next six weeks, Stevie and Clare went on a date every week. On the 2nd date, they went to the Museum of Science (one of Stevie's favorite places). On the Third date, they went to Brookline Booksmith and the Paris Creperie (some of Clare's favorite spots). For the Fourth date, Stevie took Clare to a Celtics game! It was clear from the start that this was something special. After six weeks, Stevie and Clare decided to make it official! Over the next two years, Clare and Stevie grew both as a couple and as individuals, both striving to be the best versions of themselves. Stevie supported Clare through the last two years of law school and Clare supported Stevie through bad bosses and job changes. By the summer of 2024, Stevie and Clare decided that they wanted to get engaged! The proposals were both magical and tailored to reflect the couple. Clare proposed to Stevie in mid-October when the leaves were the perfect shades of red, orange and yellow. And Stevie proposed to Clare in a bookstore after sending her on a Lord of the Rings themed scavenger hunt. Now, Stevie and Clare are living their best engaged life, building a home together in their new apartment, and getting more and more excited to enter this next phase of their lives.
