Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Stevi Portz and Raymond Ochoa
We are so excited to share the city that we fell in love with, with you. Santa Barbara has so much history, beautiful architecture, and of course: incredible wine. These recommendations come straight from our hearts: the place we took our first trip together, the restaurants we got to know more about each other at, the streets we walked together, and the wineries we had a little TOO much fun at. Xx, Stevi + Ray

Wine Tasting: Margerum

19 East Mason Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

This is Ray and I's favorite tasting room in all of Santa Barbara. For wine, we LOVE the M5 Red Blend and Rosé. We also think they have the best charcuterie board in the whole town.

Wine Tasting: Skyenna Wine Lounge

12 Helena Avenue, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

This was the first place we ever went to in Santa Barbara. It was right after covid, and no one was there. The owners and now friends, Kenny and Mickey, are some of the best and most interesting people who will serve wine and great conversation.

Wine Tasting: Pali Wine Co.

205 Anacapa Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

An eclectic tasting room with tons of wines from all over, unlike the winery tasting rooms. This is a great place to taste a bit of everything!

Wine Tasting: Grassini Family Vineyards

24 El Paseo, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

An intimate wine room in a courtyard next to other wine tasting rooms, making it easy to taste a bit of everything! This is always a place we stop when we are here.

Wine Tasting: Barbieri & Kempe Wines

1114 State Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

A fantastic tasting room with incredible wines from a Master Sommelier. Plenty of incredible wines to choose from. Our favorite and typical order in Santa Barbara for wine is a GSM (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre). They have fantastic tastings to guide you through more.

Wine Tasting: J. Wilkes

35 State Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

A classic, relaxing wine tasting room in the heart of Santa Barbara near all shopping areas.

Restaurant: The Lark Santa Barbara

131 Anacapa Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

Urbane eatery in a former fish market offers New American fare in wood-lined quarters with a patio. This is where Ray took me for my birthday in Santa Barbara on our first trip, but he booked the wrong day. I fixed it and got us in.

Restaurant: Brophy Bros.

119 Harbor Way, Santa Barbara, CA 93109

A true local's secret and gem on the harbor we didn't discover until our 3rd trip. Expect to be surrounded by the local fisherman who grew up there and actually catch the fish. The fish n chips, baked clams, and clam chowder are seriously some of the best.

Restaurant: Arigato Sushi

1225 State Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

Coffee: Dart Coffee Co

121 East Yanonali Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

A busy but delicious coffee spot that you'll be waiting in line with the locals for. Their coffee, pastries and breakfast burritos are awesome, in the heart of the main drag of Funk Zone.

Coffee: CAJÉ Coffee Roasters

1316 State Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

A unique SB coffee spot with gorgeous cocktail-like coffee and tea drinks.
