We're Getting Married!

We were both out with friends one night in Raleigh when we bumped in to a mutual friend at the Raleigh Beer Garden. As soon as we saw each other and started talking we knew we had undeniable chemistry. Since that moment not a day has gone by that we have not seen or spoken to each other. As they say, "when you know, you know!"

December 2018 we were celebrating Christmas with family in Boone, NC when Andrew mentioned that he wanted to go on a day hike to the Linville Gorge. Due to having too much fun the night before, I was not feeling so inclined but knew it would mean a lot to Andrew for us to go. After a colorful car ride we arrived and went to see the waterfalls and Andrew mentioned wanting to go to the lookout located on the top of the mountain, which is called "Wiseman's View". The roads were washed out on the way up to the overlook (which did wonders for my stomach) and then we arrived. We walked out to Wiseman's View where I candidly said, "you're not about to propose are you? Because this would be the perfect place to do it." Andrew laughed it off and we kept walking. We sat at the overlook and talked about the first time we had gone camping in the gorge and what a fun trip it was. Andrew then asked me to take my glove off and I thought he was kidding. I then turned to leave, but suddenly noticed him pulling something out of this pocket. I started crying immediately as he got on one knee, then he started tearing up and popped the question. I of course said YES! (Easiest decision ever!)
