Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Hannah Wright and John Stevenson
The White Mountains have become home to us and they embody the beauty that this state has to offer. We have camped, hiked, and explored many of the mountains in this area and we suggest you do too if you have the time! Here are a few of our favorite hikes, attractions, and restaurants in the area. There is something for everyone on this list!

Franconia Notch State Park

Daniel Webster Hwy, Lincoln, NH 03251

Franconia Notch State Park is located close to the venue and lodging. It the reason for the name of our venue-- the Notch View! It is an absolutely beautiful area to drive through and explore. You could visit the Basin, check out Mirror Lake or Echo Lake, and see where the Old Man on The Mountain used to be! Many of the recommendations below are in Franconia Notch State Park!

Flume Gorge

852 Daniel Webster Highway, Lincoln, NH 03251

This is a popular attraction for a reason! It is a beautiful 2-mile loop that takes roughly 1.5 hours start to finish. You do have to buy a ticket for entry; we would recommend making a reservation ahead of time but you can buy a ticket at the door. Price is $18 for an online reservation & $21 at ticket window per adult.

Artists Bluff

Franconia, NH 03580

This is a 1.5 mile loop that gives iconic views of Franconia Notch. It typically takes less than 1 hour start to finish. If you only have the time for one hike, this is the one we would recommend!

Mount Willard Trail Head

Carroll, NH 03575

Another good 'bang for your buck' hike. It is roughly 3.1 miles and takes an average 1 hour 30 minutes with breathtaking views of crawford notch

The Mount Washington Cog Railway

3168 Base Station Road, Mount WASHINGTON, NH 03589

The cog railroad is a biodiesel-powered train that brings you to the summit of Mount Washington, the highest peak in New Hampshire at 6288’ of elevation. The round trip to the summit and back is just under 3 hours. Reservations are not required, however there is limited capacity and most trains sell out in advance so they are strongly recommended. The cost is $79 per person. This one is definitely worth it if you have the time and the weather is good!

Woodstock Inn Brewery

135 Main Street, Woodstock, NH 03262

If you are needing food or drinks, the Woodstock Inn and Brewery is a must. We like to stop here after hikes for one of their signature brewed beers and comfort food! It is located right in the heart of Woodstock and while it is generally busy, it has a large amount of indoor and outdoor seating option, and the wait is never too long!

One Love Brewery

25 South Mountain Drive, Lincoln, NH 03251

Another great food and drink option located in Lincoln!
