Please RSVP online. If it is easier to send the RSVP in the mail, please reach out to us. However, you can find the link to RSVP on our website. PLEASE RSVP BY JULY 1ST!

Where is Chestnut Mountain Resort located in Galena, IL?
Answer
The address for Chestnut Mountain Resort is 8700 W Chestnut Mountain Rd, Galena, IL 61036. This is 8 miles from route 20 that drives through downtown Galena, IL. There is free parking available on site. The ceremony and reception are both at Chestnut. The ceremony is either a 10 minute walk or there will be a shuttle providing transportation to and from the ceremony site. The reception is located next to the hotel at the resort in a large outdoor tent.

Where should I stay?
Answer
We recommend staying at Chestnut Mountain Resort in our block of rooms. The road to the resort is very dark and narrow at night. However, there is the Le Fevre Inn 15 minutes down the road. In addition, downtown Galena is 20 minutes down the road and there are multiple accommodations there.

Can I bring a guest?
Answer
We are only able to accommodate the guests that were formally invited on the wedding invitation. On your invitation you should see the number of guests for your party.

Can I bring my children?
Answer
Though we would love to see your children, we have decided to have an adults-only affair. We thank you for understanding.

What should I wear?
Answer
Please wear something comfortable. The weather in August in Illinois is unpredictable so it could be hot, windy, rainy, or sunshine all day. The wedding will be an outdoor ceremony and reception.

Can I take photos at your wedding?
Answer
We ask that you PLEASE DO NOT take photos during the ceremony. There will be a time at the beginning of the ceremony to get a few pictures, and then we ask that you put your devices away. For the cocktail hour and reception, you may take as many photos as you would like.

What type of food will be served at the wedding? Will there be dietary options?
Answer
There will be hor d'oeuvres passed around at cocktail hour, followed by a sit down dinner with your choice of an entree. There will be options for folks with dietary needs. We will ask about dietary restrictions on the invitation/RSVP.

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
Yes. Please bring cash to tip the bartenders.

Do you have a wedding registry?
Answer
The most important thing to us is having you all here celebrating with us. If you should wish to buy us something, please consider contributing to the funds on the registry section of our website.
