In the late summer of 2020, just before the start of senior year, something special began—Mackenzie caught Ethan’s eye. After a few months of sweet pursuit, their hearts aligned, and on November 1st, 2020, they made their relationship official. (Though truth be told, it was Ethan’s second time trying to win her over—some things are just worth trying twice.) Through all the milestones senior year brings, their love only deepened. They cherished carefree dates, walking to classes together, quiet moments by the Scioto River, and the simple joy of being in eachothers presence. During college, their relationship deepened into a foundation of trust. As they built new friendships and navigated young adulthood, they leaned on each other—and clung tightly to the good things they found together. God has written their story, softening hearts and strengthening their bond along the way. And while life will surely continue to shape them, one thing is certain: they will grow through it all hand in hand—together. On March 23rd, 2021, by the Scioto River, Ethan told Mackenzie he loved her for the very first time. And on May 2nd, 2026, just around corner from that same spot, Ethan and Mackenzie will promise forever to each other at Scioto Reserve Country Club.
