We met at our job as entry level sales people in 2017. Alex was at the top of his game and immediately caught Jackie’s eye. We got to know each other on the sales floor along with a group of friends that we still hold dear to this day.
As they got to know each other at and outside of work, Jackie started to catch feelings. She asked Alex out a few times and shockingly he declined each time because of his rule that he doesn’t date coworkers. After she got over the ego bruise, they started to form a great friendship.
Jackie & Alex developed a close friendship over the following years. They spent a lot of time laughing, going through the ups & downs at work, and creating memories as single 20 something’s in NYC. They each moved on from the job that had first introduced them.
Throughout the first year of the pandemic, Alex and Jackie stayed close friends. They spoke on the phone often and commiserated about staying in NYC through a challenging time. They both experienced hardships, and were able to support one another: When Jackie lost a close friend that March, Alex called her once a week to check on her. Alex was unable to travel to see his family when they moved to Florida. November of 2020, Jackie bought a car and offered to go on a road trip to go see Alex’s parents.
Alex & Jackie drove 19 hours in the car together to visit Alex’s family. They laughed, bonded, and went stir crazy together. Jackie got to meet Alex’s parents and fell in love with them. On their return trip home, Alex wanted to make a move but didn’t want to risk making it awkward for the long ride back. Finally, upon returning to Brooklyn, on February 15, 2021, Alex & Jackie kissed for the first time and went on their first date. The rest is history!
Alex & Jackie live in Brooklyn, NY and spend their days filled with eating pizza, playing with their dog Molly, and are even back working at a new shared company together! Together they have visited 13 national parks, 3 countries, and have made the drive up & down the east coast countless times. They love to visit with friends & family, explore new places, and celebrate big milestones with those they love. Our hope for our wedding is that it feels like you’re in our home for the weekend - cozy, filled with love, and lots of laughter.
