Man of Honor
Besties since playground dates! Jimmy and Vina's parents met through English as a Second Language (ESL) class during the early years of America. It was coincidence that Vina and Jimmy attended the same preschool together and as aging occurred, the two also attended Sunday catechism together as well. When Vina moved to Elk Grove School District, the pair had the opportunity to enjoy junior high and high school together too! Life has been full of adventure!
Matron of Honor
Bestie girl next door - literally. Vina and Christine were next door neighbors as children but lost contact after Vina moved to Elk Grove in third grade. The two reconnected on Facebook in high school and then bumped into each other in college and have been inseparable ever since! There is not one day that goes by that the pair does not text each other - there's so much to be said! Fun fact: one of the ways that helped Christine reconnect with Vina in person was asking, "Did your house have a bamboo tree growing in a white elephant with colorful polka dots on the front lawn?" Elephants never forget and they also love the animal - and now they're elephant tattoo sisters!
Groomsman
Shae met Steven through their freshman year at Sacramento State University, as a dormmate for Steven and a roommate with Jack. He has been a constant presence in Steven’s life from then on and they share a love of games, anime, and other nerdier hobbies. They often hang out both in life and online weather it be playing games or just talking about whatever topic strikes their fancy.
Bridesmaid
Do you ever get pre-annoyed before you even meet the person? That was Angie for Vina. Such opposite ends of the fun spectrum, bubbly Angie filled Vina's late college days and after with such laughter, joy, and love. Angie is a ray of sunshine that brightens any room and continues to be a huge fan of the smallest things that Vina would downplay on any given day. If her phone isn't under 20% battery life, she isn't Angie!
Groomsman
Jack and Steven first met during their freshman year at Sacramento State University, where they were dormmates. They found common ground in their love for video games of the tactical variety and would spend time together out of class hanging out, and this friendship would last over a decade even as both would move on from college and into their careers. Jack currently resides in Hawaii with his wife and twin daughters and is working on becoming a full-fledged doctor!
Bridesmaid
Attending high school together, the friendship did not blossom until college at Sac State where Vina, Deidre, and Angie met through working at the on campus Hornet Bookstore. Break room laughs turned into girlfriend dates and running random errands together after school or work. The pair finished their Bachelor's together and celebrated commencement together on the same day at the same time in December 2014. Life has most certainly been happening for both but that does not change the bond they share.
Groomsman
Steven met Kyle through Jack and Shae after a few years at Sac State. Kyle has always been the competitive persona in the group through games like Halo and Rocket League, and he (and his family) would host get-togethers at his house for game nights for many years (Thanks Matyac family!). Kyle often brings new ideas for the group to try and always keeps things fresh.
Groomsman
Steven met Hoa through his freshmany year at Sac State, and they lived right across from each other in the dorms. They often play games together and have continued to do so throughout the years, starting from Call of Duty on the Xbox 360 to League of Legends and then branching out to many others. Steven learned a lot from Hoa about new perspectives and would also take trips together to visit new places and events.
