Due to COVID-19 cases where we live still on the rise, we have decided to postpone our wedding ceremony and reception to January 15, 2022. We hope that you will all be able to join us at this later date and that things will be under more control then to make your joining us more stress-free. We are still going to be having a small ceremony on our original date for just our family and will use the later date as a time to celebrate our 1 year anniversary, renew our vows, and have a celebration with those we love (you guys!). Our registry will remain open on this site if you wish to give in the next few months, as we are planning (hoping haha) to buy a home in the months after we tie-the-knot privately. Any gifts would be appreciated (if you are in a place where it is feasible) and would be an immense help to us! Thank you for understanding. We love you guys, we hope that things are going well for all of you. See ya in 2022!
It all started in English Sophomore year. It was the first day of school when I (Tiffany) saw him walk in and sit in his desk near the door. In that moment I knew that this person was going to be significant in my life. I gave little thought to it then, but looking back, he is now the most significant person in my life. We, oddly enough, had been cast as Tevye and Golde in "Fiddler on the Roof" and little did I know of the feelings he had for me then. Eventually we each moved on in our own direction past high school, he to his mission, and I to college.
After the mission, I (Steven) worked for a while until eventually I had purchased my first car and decided it was time for college. I went with my now best man Kirt and I was able to meet back up with Tiffany there. I had long since moved on from my previous feelings of her and was excited to start my theatre education alongside with some old friends. We both had feelings for other people but those other people liked other people. We chatted about that and confided in each other our thoughts and that night at a party, over some s'mores, we connected. Not long after we did the 36 questions to fall in love. Spoiler alert, we did :)
Much like everything in our relationship, we couldn't wait a day more. There was an elaborate plan created for a proposal that she was not expecting, however when she got home from work several days before the actual proposal, it was snowing. The snow was PERFECT! I couldn't wait another day more. I texted my sister and took Tiffany to IKEA with some hot chocolate, IKEA would surely keep us distracted long enough for everything to be set up. We finished exploring the store and made our way to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple and then carried on to the proposal spot. With a great afternoon in our pocket, my overflowing love for her, and our song playing at the spot, I proposed. She said yes, we cried, and the rest was history.
