They met when Taylor moved up to Arlington, VA and lived in a house with some mutual friends. After about 7 months of getting to know each other, Steven took a chance and asked Taylor out on their first date - dinner and a movie! Fun fact, Taylor tried swordfish on their date to try and impress Steven and it looks like it worked!

"On one of their many trips to Charleston, Steven said he wanted to go down to the waterfront park, one of their favorite spots, to catch the sunrise together. This was a great idea, except Taylor forgot her hair tools at home, causing a spontaneous and stressful trip to Target the night before to get replacements. Since she was using new tools, there was a bit of a learning curve, causing a delay in her time when getting ready that morning and they were running a bit late for the sunrise proposal Steven had planned. Once they got there, the park was beautiful and not crowded so they walked around, taking in the views together. After walking through the park a few times, they started to walk to the pineapple fountain one more time before heading to find breakfast in the city. As they were walking around the fountain, Steven stopped Taylor and turned her around to face him saying "can I do something?". The next thing Taylor knew was Steven was on one knee and she was saying "YES" to her best friend. The surprises weren't over just yet because Steven looked off to the side with an excited face and when Taylor turned around she saw her brother and sister-in-law with their cameras capturing the most perfect moment! Taylor screamed with excitement and joy and just like that, they were engaged!" We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you! See you in Charleston!
