I loaded up Tinder, and the first person I saw was Sara. The familiar face gave me excitement, I was hopeful, so I swiped right, hoping that I would get a match. I had to wait until the next morning (rude), and there it was, a match! I had to have more class than messaging Sara on Tinder, so I turned to Instagram. A more personal message, I thought. I sent a "Hey!" and quickly realized that was too forward and removed the exclamation point. Little did I know that she could see the edit... Regardless, she answered, and we had a date planned for the next day. I planned on picking her up and bringing her to Seadogs in Brunswick for dinner. When I picked her up, she looked as beautiful as ever. We had a great night, stayed out longer than expected, but it was all worth it. Hopping between 3 bars and planning our next date the day after. The rest is history, some might say it's quick, but I'll stick with it's meant to be!
Why did I download Tinder? Boredom? Mostly that, yes. Never did I think it would lead to the easiest, most caring, gentle, and fun relationship coupled with the perfect guy, that's for sure. Boy, was I wrong. Steven sure as heck did not waste time asking me on a date (planned for a day later!!!). We love a man who knows what he wants & I was glad he didn't wait. I remember getting ready and trying on so many different outfits, nervous that nothing was perfect enough. I felt like a high schooler again, getting ready for the spring fling. Although our night was the opposite, I genuinely wanted to be there, and I didn't want the night to end. We spent the evening at our favorite spot to this day, Seadog Brewing in Brunswick. I knew he was the one when the conversation never ended, even when he pulled the classic "wanna get out of here?". We bounced around to another 2 bars without skipping a beat in conversation. I don't think we stopped until he dropped me off at 2 am. Yes! He kidnapped me until 2 am! I think he got tired of me, but at least he brought me home(!!!) but not before planning our next date for the following day, where he would steal my heart with a 3 am conversation about everything you could think of... You would think we had been together for years by the end of our 4th date (within a week)! After 2 months of "talking," he finally asked me to be his girlfriend, and 2 weeks later, we moved in together. Yes, some might say we moved fast but any and every moment spent without each other we felt was time wasted. Now, there is not a day that goes by where we are not together, and it still doesn't feel like enough time. The rest of our lives is a start, but even that might not be enough. God truly blessed me when he placed Steven in my life. Never have I met a man so loving, charismatic, goofy, PATIENT, and pure. Heres to forever mi amor <3
