Our story

7 Years later...

Steven and Rebekah first met seven years ago at a Bible study at Christ the Cornerstone. They went on one date but did not move forward with a relationship. However, they remained in each other’s social circle over the years, staying connected due to Rebekah’s close friendship with Steven’s sister-in-law and Steven joining Rebekah's Young Adult group meetings and events. Fast forward to 2024, their paths continued to cross and they began spending more and more time together as friends. As the months went by, their feelings for each other began to rekindle. On August 30th, after seeing the summer’s most romantic movie—"Deadpool and Wolverine"—Rebekah expressed her feelings for Steven when they walked back to her car. When she asked how he felt, Steven responded by kissing her. They officially became a couple on September 2nd, when Steven formally asked Rebekah to be his girlfriend. Over the next six months, they enjoyed this new chapter in their lives. Plans for their first Valentine’s Day together were derailed when Steven came down with the flu, but he promised what he had in store for her birthday the following week would make up for it. On February 21st, she was expecting this surprise from Steven. While she thought it would be a special date, Steven surprised her with a gift—a puzzle featuring a picture of the two of them. As they pieced it together, she noticed four pieces were missing. When Steven "found" the final pieces, Rebekah placed them in place, revealing the words: "Will you marry me?" Now, Steven and Rebekah invite you to celebrate this exciting new chapter in their lives with them!
