Question

By when should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 1st, 2024

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your guest's name is listed on your invitation, then yes! Otherwise, due to capacity restrictions, we are unable to accommodate additional guests at this time.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

While we love your children, we kindly request that our wedding celebration be adults-only. We hope you can use this time to relax and enjoy the festivities. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

For your convenience, we have blocked a set of rooms at the Ritz-Carlton Abama. We greatly recommend staying at the venue, as transportation on the island can be difficult to find in the late evenings. We hope your three-day stay provides ample opportunity for rest and mingling with other wedding attendees!

Question

Hotel Dining Options?

Answer

For those choosing to stay at the Ritz-Carlton outside of the wedding dates (6/27-6/29), the hotel is home to many restaurants, among them are two Michelin-starred restaurants - M.B and Kibuki. M.B is a 2-starred Basque restaurant. Kibuki is a 1-starred Japanese restaurant. Reservations open three months in advance.

Question

Where can I find Indian outfits?

Answer

We recommend some of these online stores: Aza Fashion, Pernia's Pop-Up Shop, Kalki Fashion, Lashkaraa, Kynah, The Saree Room, and ASOS.

Question

What Indian outfits do you recommend?

Answer

Women: We recommend wearing a 'lehenga' (skirt) or a 'kurta' set, as they offer the most freedom for dancing! Men: We recommend the 'Kurta (long shirt) and Chudidaar' (slim pants) sets or their variations.

Question

What is the Mehndi ceremony?

Answer

A cherished pre-wedding tradition, the Mehndi (Henna) Ceremony is a celebration of love, unity, positive spirits and good luck. As per Hindu tradition, the Mehndi ceremony is held before the wedding day to ensure the bride's good health and prosperity as she makes her journey on to marriage. As we come together to celebrate the upcoming union of Nikita and Steven, let us revel in the vibrant colors and festive music. Henna artists will be available for all friends and relatives who are interested!

Question

What is the Sangeet?

Answer

When translated, 'Sangeet' in Hindi means 'music' or 'sing together' - hence, the theme for the evening. Centered around music and dancing, the Sangeet ceremony is a popular Hindu wedding tradition that takes place on the eve of the wedding. The bride and groom, along with their closest friends and relatives, come together to celebrate the union of the families. So, prepare to be enthralled by captivating performances that showcase the couple and their family and friends' artistic talents.
