Marilynn joined Nicole's online concert in Colombia which then set the spark to their long-lasting friendship. Through highs and lows in life they have been able to connect and have an inseparable bond. They have gone on many fun adventures together and have been able to see life through each other's eyes while sharing moments. Life is much sweeter with Mer Bear.

With her nurturing and sweet personality Nat became one of the first friends Nicole made at Dallas First Church. She has taught Nicole so much about leadership, planning, and the things of God. To Nicole, Nat exemplifies what it means to be a Woman of God. Through thick and thin, Nat has been there for Nicole and has always been a protective sister at heart. Nicole is so blessed to have the bigger sister she always needed in Nat!

Kim is Nicole's most spontaneous and hilarious friend. Kim has always liked the fact that Nicole is the first Colombian friend she has ever had. She loves to introduce Nicole as her “Cool Colombian Friend”. When they started to hang out and ride together Kim would always ask Nicole what her favorite songs were, and then would play Colombian music to make her feel closer to home. Ironically, Kim now knows more Colombian music than Nicole does and never fails to play it when they are together. Kim loves that Nicole goes along with her crazy ideas and Nicole has come to know that there is never a dull moment with Kim.

Cathy and Nicole first met in Belgium when Nicole's family moved to Belgium as missionaries. She embraced Nicole and became that of a close sister to her in a place where she didn’t understand the language. Their friendship flourished as they did life together in a different country. Nicole will never forget a special moment she had with Cathy when they did not have a cake to celebrate Cathy’s birthday, and instead celebrated with a simple bowl of Frosted Flakes! She cherishes Cathy and those valuable moments so very much!

Keren and Nicole go way back! From spending most of their time at the church to endless sleepovers at Keren's house. They have developed a special bond throughout the years. Nicole can recount many special memories with her childhood friend, such as playing and laughing about teenage girly stuff, to being there for each other when there was no one else to lean on. Though they both parted ways to Spain and the other to Texas, unknowingly to follow their dreams; the special bond they had since they were kids is still present even now. Nicole cannot wait to see her childhood friend once again after all these years!

Through their then boyfriends but now fiancés, Gema and Nicole met! Their relationship began at General Conference 2022 when they were encouraged to make conversation in order to please their then boyfriends. Since then, they have become close friends and have leaned on each other as they journeyed through the dating season we all so peacefully endure. Nicole can’t wait to have Gema be a part of her wedding and is excited to celebrate Gema’s wedding following shortly after!

Mary, the Groom’s little sister, first met Nicole when she was visiting Stevens' family. Nicole, already nervous about her first impression to his family and was even more nervous to meet "THE SISTER". From the moment they first met, Mary welcomed Nicole into the family with open arms and made her feel right at home with her gentleness and kindness. Since then, they have developed a special relationship and cannot imagine life without each other's sisterly friendship. The bride cannot wait to spend more time with her soon to be sister-in-law!

Jazmyn is the niece of the Groom and took it upon herself to tell Nicole that she is going to be the flower girl for the wedding in true Gutierrez fashion.

These little girl's makes the bride's everyday brighter! Every time she comes home after a long day at work, these little girls make sure to put a smile on her face. Whether it is a smile, joke, comment, or just cuddle in the room; they're a special gift to Nicole.

Sarah is The Bride's cousin. As a fun fact Sarah's mom Margarita, was Nicole's mom Amada, flower girl 29 years ago. Now Sarah will get to be part of this next chapter in the family and the tradition continues!

Sawyer is the son of the Groomsman Shane Owens and was also present during the proposal weekend. So, it was only right that he would be part of the wedding. Keep an eye out for how this Stud pops into the wedding ceremony!
Brahian Gutierrez

YES! Brahian Gutierrez is spelled correctly and is the older brother of the Groom. Brahian is known to be a fantastic cook, drummer, pickleball player, and the reason why Steven has a social life! You can find Brahian learning a new sport or hobby and bringing Steven along in hopes of defeating him as many times as he can.

Pastor Trevor Barrick is the Groom's Assistant Pastor at Cypress Grove Fellowship. Pastor Trevor and Steven were in youth together, worked in Youth Ministry together, and have had many dollar tacos together!
Shane Owens

This picture was taken July 23, 2011, at the Florida UPCI Senior Camp in Ocala, FL! You can find the Groom and Shane becoming friends when Shane decides to wrestle Steven, and Steven Tosses Shane and SLAMS him on the mat. They have been best of friends since. Steven can still toss Shane today.

Hector and the Groom also met at the FL Senior Camp in 2011. For some reason, Steven has cried more with Hector than probably anyone else at the altar. We are suspicious Hector may have been doing this on purpose.
Riley Martin

The Groom and Riley met at a local UCF Campus Ministry event, in which Riley was the guest speaker. They became friends when someone interested in Riley asked Steven to invite him to a training event. Nothing came of that, but now Riley is Steven's groomsmen, so that's cool.

Although Erik has been on a health journey recently and does not look much like this picture above. This pic pays homage to the "Erik" the Groom met December 2020 at a mutual friend's Wedding. They didn't really leave friends, but after Erik came to Orlando to go to Disney and hit up Steven for whatever ulterior reason. Erik invited Steven to a conference out of jest, and Steven said yes to be nice. Fast Forward, Erik and Steven ended up finding their now Fiancée's around the same time, proposed around the same time, and both will be getting married within 6 months of each other. However, the Groom still speaks better Spanish than Erik.

Ryan Turner has known the groom since his early teens. He has seen Steven through all of his fashion phases, hair style phases and every other phase you can think of. Ryan and his wife Audria were a big part of his high school years, had him and his brother over for holidays, vacations and pretty much every weekend for a good year or so! Ryan is currently Steven’s gym partner and preparing him for the big day! Steven is in fact still more swole.
