We met in our clay class at Eckerd College during junior year. The class was right before lunch. Miranda, uncharacteristically, invited Steven and another student to go to lunch together. They both said yes. Steven didn't live on campus and therefore did not have a meal plan at Eckerd. Miranda offered one of her meal swipes. The Tuesday and Thursday post-class lunch started with the three of us. Our friend stopped coming after awhile as she got busy with another class. So, it left room for Steven and Miranda to become best friends. We took long walks around campus at night sharing our thoughts on the world and life. Steven tagged along at the dog park while Miranda was there with Charlie. One night while wandering, Miranda had a Freudian Slip and said "I love you" to Steven. She paused for a second until she heard what she just said. Then she added ", platonically". Miranda wished it was so. When we were by the Eckerd Garden Steven said " So you know, I love you too, platonically" with a laugh. We decided to date officially on 12/03/2018, right before we were on Christmas Break and Steven was in the Galapagos for 3 weeks. Perfect timing for a new couple, we know. We planned on starting dating with the new semester, but we couldn't wait for our first kiss. We soon moved in together in a small one bedroom apartment with our now 3 dogs collectively. We never had a problem with the lack of space since we always want to be so close. We went through quarantine together and never got tired of each other. In fact, now that we have stuff to do, we miss each other. Now here we are 3 years later getting married with our 3 dogs in our new home. Steven is in an amazing graduate program at University of South Florida going and Miranda is making strides at Clearwater Marine Aquarium to her dream career! That is how we met and how our relationship evolved to what it is now. So long story short, Miranda won Steven over by buying him a whole lot of lunches.
