Situated 200 feet above sea level atop the Navesink Highlands, Twin Lights has stood as a sentinel over the treacherous coastal waters of northern New Jersey since 1828. Named Navesink Lightstation, it became known as the "Twin Lights of Highlands" to those who used its mighty beacons to navigate. As the primary seacoast light for The Highlands, New York Harbor, it was the best and brightest light in North America for generations of seafarers. Many a life and cargo were saved by the sweep of its light.
Monmouth Park’s long and storied history dates back to July 30, 1870 when the track opened, just three miles from Long Branch. With live racing on the weekends from May-September, it's a Monmouth County staple! If you get the chance, go place some bets, eat a hot dog, and visit the new William Hill Sports Gambling Center there too!
Eight years since the company’s inception, Rook has continued to grow and expand on New Jersey's coast. With eleven stores in operation and more on the way, their roastery, cold brew coffee brewery and headquarters is located in Long Branch, NJ - not far down the road from Rook's very first location. You almost can't come to the Jersey Shore and not get Rook while you're here! My favorite is the New Orleans style cold brew with cream and 1 sugar, but you can't go wrong with any of their fresh coffees! There is also a location in downtown Red Bank if you want to grab a coffee and walk around a bit. Tons of good shops and restaurants there!
Great spot to grab some good food, a drink, and enjoy the atmosphere! Along the riverside, the backyard area has cabanas for relaxation and enjoyment, corn-hole and a covered porch to enjoy outdoor dining all year round; all while over looking the Shrewsbury River. Tommy’s has three specialty kitchens; coal-fired pizza, tavern-style options, and sushi. The two bars hold an extensive selection of drink options, even holding seasonal whiskey, beer and wine menus. Tommy's has been announced as Monmouth County's #1 Sport's Bar, and Restaurant in 2016 and 2017.
Woody’s offers the area’s top fine casual dining destination. Their menu is California coastal with a southwestern flare which includes their famous fish tacos, fresh seafood, and exciting southwestern creations. The unique atmosphere at Woody’s is somewhat upscale, yet very laid back. It features both warm wood tables that echo long boards, and high top banquette-type seating are situated around the bar area where you can sit and chat or watch the game. The upstairs features tables and built-in seating with a full-length glass wall that overlooks downstairs. Be sure to try our fav - the shrimp tempura tacos!
