We exchanged numbers to distract ourselves from recent breakups and stayed up all night talking on the phone, telling our individual stories. We fell for each other fast, in amazement at how alike we are. We had the same birthday (how insane is that!), we both love subtitles, we sleep with something over our eyes but with the TV on, the list never ends. Although being together is easy, life is sometimes not. We have had some rough times, but having each other through those times has brought us a deeper connection- an invincibility in our relationship. Six years later, we cannot wait to marry, to look back upon the challenges we’ve overcome and towards the future.
