It all started on New Year's Eve in 2014 when Steven asked Kaitlyn on their very first date. Steven and Kaitlyn became very close friends and decided to make their relationship official on July 27th, 2016. The next 4 years saw many late night phone conversations and road trips back and forth from VA to NC while Kaitlyn finished school. Multiple meals prepared by Chef Steven, Game of Thrones marathons, bonding over video games and mountain adventures, and so much more...

On a warm, July day at Ocean Isle Beach, NC, exactly 4 days before their 4-year anniversary, Steven planned to pop the question on a casual evening walk along the beach. They came across a heart made of seashells in the sand and decided to stop to take a few photos. Goofing around as usual, Kaitlyn had no idea what was about to happen... Turning her to face him, Steven whispered in one ear, "I want to cook for you..." and in the other, "every day for the rest of our lives." If you know Kaitlyn well enough, you'll completely understand Steven's choice of words! Before she could realize what was happening, Steven dropped to one knee and asked her for forever! No surprise, of course Kaitlyn said YES!

We have shared so many wonderful memories together and could not imagine this day without our closest friends and family! We thank you SO MUCH for being a part of this special time in our lives! Bring your best dance moves and get ready to party as we celebrate the future Mr. & Mrs. Jarvis!
