We eloped in Pacifica on the clearest, most beautiful day, with sweeping ocean views and the Farallon Islands visible nearly 30 miles offshore. There were just 13 of us—our closest people, including the family dog Gunnar—gathered above the waves for a ceremony that felt quiet, intimate, and full of love.
Jes loved incorporating family heirlooms and vintage pieces into the day. Jes wore a vintage 1970s dress found on eBay, lovingly altered to fit her by her Aunt Cathy, and paired it with her grandmother’s veil from 1955.
Her brother, Kyle, officiated the ceremony, making it all the more meaningful. Without planning it, our vows echoed one another—promising to believe in each other, to be honest, to communicate openly, and to keep laughing throughout life. It was simple and exactly how we hoped to begin our marriage. What a dream!
