Gabby and Janelle met during Janelle's last week at BDO before moving to Indiana for law school, and Gabby was starting as Janelle's replacement. Though the time together was short, Gabby and Janelle instantly knew they would have a strong friendship. Now, 8 years later, Gabby and Janelle are as close as ever. If you need Gabby at the reception, make sure to check the middle of the dance floor.
Andrew Sensoli

Andrew and Steven first met during their freshman year of high school while playing JV hockey. They grew up in Chelsea, spending countless hours playing hockey, football, and making their fair share of questionable decisions together. Although they attended different colleges, they still managed to spend multiple weekends a month together—whether at the University of Michigan or Central Michigan University (though, if we’re being honest, mostly at Michigan). Over the years, they’ve created a lifetime of stories and memories, with some of their favorite moments shared together including attending the unforgettable Rose Bowl in 2024!
Hannah Brown

While Hannah and Janelle have known each other since the fourth grade, they did not become friends until late in their junior year of high school and after they had already decided to live together at Grand Valley. Ever since then, Hannah and Janelle have been a package duo. They lived together every year of college and have continued their best friendship through today. Hannah and Janelle can often be found traveling together or going to concerts together. If you need a conversation starter with Hannah, ask her about when she worked at Disney World!
Patrick Temple

Pat and Steven first met back in 2013 at a concert in Detroit. They stayed in touch through their shared love of music but became especially close after spending a three-night Umphrey’s McGee run together in Madison, Wisconsin, in 2016. Since then, their mutual passion for live music has formed a lifelong bond. Together, they’ve attended more than 100 concerts and over 15 music festivals. Pat is also the one to thank for introducing Steven to his favorite band, Goose, in 2020.
Annalee Clegg

Annalee and Janelle met at Grand Valley when Janelle joined their sorority in the winter of sophomore year. Only after joining did Annalee and Janelle realize they lived next door to each other! They quickly became great friends and shared a house their senior year. Annalee and Janelle are still close friends and enjoy good food and board games together when Annalee is not busy flying around the country in her new career as a flight attendant. ✈️
Mike Baker

Mike and Steven have been friends the longest. Growing up just a mile apart, they first met while riding the bus together in first grade. They spent their childhood in Chelsea playing sports, riding snowmobiles on snow days, and taking trips to Cedar Point with their moms. Both attended Central Michigan University, where they were roommates for three out of their four years in college. Mike and Steven have stayed close ever since—celebrating numerous New Year’s together and even starting an annual tradition of attending the Talladega NASCAR race.
Emily Morales

Emily and Janelle also met when Janelle joined their sorority their sophomore year. Emily, Janelle, Hannah, and Annalee all shared a house together their senior year of college, and the foursome has remained close since! Emily loves attending live events, whether that’s a sporting event, concert, or comedy show. Emily is always up for a good time and loves spending time with her pup Elsa and kitty Stella.
Nate Kaufman

Nate and Steven first met in college around 2012–2013 through mutual friends at a party. When Steven moved to Grand Rapids in 2015, he happened to be looking for a roommate at the same time Nate was—and the timing couldn’t have worked out better. Over the years, they’ve shared plenty of good times, from attending Michigan games together to competing in an online dynasty football league that lasted more than eight years. Recently, Nate and his wife, Kasie, bought a house just two doors down from Steven and Janelle, making them not only great friends but also great neighbors!
Alec Blue

Alec and Janelle first met when they were both interning at BDO during college. Alec would go on to marry Janelle’s replacement and now-matron of honor, Gabby. Janelle, Alec, and Gabby have remained friends since their BDO days. When Steven came into Janelle’s world, he and Alec instantly hit it off, bonding over golf, Lions football, being cat dads, and their love of Busch Light Apples. Janelle and Steven could not think of a better person to marry them.
