We're getting married!

Geena was 19, Steven 20, when they met at Escape Music Festival. A rave, of all places. At the time, they were two music lovers soaking in the energy of the crowd, unaware that something far more meaningful was about to begin. Little did they know that they were both there with mutual friends. In fact, they’d almost crossed paths just a week earlier at a friend’s gathering, if only Geena had gone. From the moment they started talking, something felt different. They instantly connected over shared values, life goals, and an easy sense of humor that made it feel like they’d known each other forever. Both were in the middle of applying to universities. Steven to schools in Orange County, and Geena to schools in San Diego another unexpected parallel in their lives. By their second date, Steven looked at Geena and said, “I’m going to marry you.” Ten years later, that moment has finally arrived. Over the years, they’ve built a life grounded in laughter, love, and a shared passion for education both earning their master’s degrees and dedicating their careers to helping others learn and grow. They’re also proud dog parents to a sweet rescue pit bull, Winnie who stole their hearts (and probably your spot on the couch).
