P. Terry's Burger Stand (Cheap Eats)

$ Emilie and Steven's fave burger joint in Austin. Super cheap and great! It’s the “Dick’s” of Austin for those visiting Seattlites!

Fonda San Miguel (Fine Dining)

$$$ One of Steven and Emilie’s favorite restaurants. Sophisticated takes on Authentic Mexican cuisine served in a colorful, hacienda-style space that’s been in business since the 70’s. If being in a gorgeous environment surrounded by beautiful artwork matters to you - come here!

Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q

$ Great option to try out the famous Texas BBQ on the less expensive side.

Torchy's Tacos

$ Famous Austin taco joint with a multitude of Tex-Mex taco variations. You will see one in every neighborhood.

Salt Lick BBQ

$$ If you feel like making the trek it’s totally worth it! Salt Lick is in close proximity to where the wedding takes place in beautiful Texas Hill Country about 15 mins from The Hampton Inn. Steven and Emilie bring all their guests here - it’s a well known Texas BBQ spot.

Lin Asian Bar + Dim Sum (Fine Dining)

$$ Emilie’s FAVORITE restaurant in Austin - reminds her of all the amazing Asian food in Seattle.

Stubb's Bar-B-Q

$$ BBQ with live music

Franklin Barbecue

$$ Ok so neither Steven nor Emilie have actually been to this place but it’s suppose to be really famous so they decided to add anyways. Apparently people wait every morning in a line, sometimes for hours, to get their BBQ fix.

Eurasia Sushi Bar & Seafood (A couple blocks from The Hampton Inn)

Via 313 Pizza - Oak Hill (A couple blocks from The Hampton Inn)

$$ Steven's favorite Detroit style pizza! There are several locations - one of which is across the street from The Hampton Inn.

Jo's Coffee (Close to The Hyatt)

Major Austin attraction! Home of the famous “I love you so much”.

Bat watching on the South Congress Bridge (Underneath The Hyatt)

Come check out the famous bats! The Congress Ave bridge that crosses over the Colorado River is famous for "bat watching". This is just steps to the Hyatt Regency Hotel, South Congress Ave and Downtown Austin. If you get there around dusk you are more likely to spot a bat flying from under the bridge where the largest bat colony in the world resides for parts of the year.

The Capital Building

THE TEXAS CAPITOL is recognized as one of the nation's most distinguished state capitols, and is taller than the United States Capitol in Washington, DC. FREE daily tours. Breathtaking architecture!!!!!

Barton Springs Pool

Such an amazing experience for kids and adults. This natural spring was turned into an outdoor public pool in 1918 - previously purchased by the Barton family in 1837. The water is the same temperature year round.

Rainey Street

Where Steven and Emilie first met! One of the most popular places to to go out and enjoy nightlife in downtown Austin. A few blocks of houses were turned into bars, many with stages in the back and live bands playing.

Rainey Street Food Truck Lot

You will probably see more food trucks here in Austin than you ever have in your life! Many restaurants started as food trucks in this town prior to transitioning into a brick and mortar. This is one of the many “food truck trailer parks” that is an awesome option to check out.

Moontower Saloon

There is always live music playing here with a few food trucks and a giant outdoor patio. This is a great option if you’re staying in South Austin, want to go out and don’t feel like going to downtown. Moontower is a short distance from Steven and Emilie’s house.

The Continental Club

Charlie Rudd’s favorite place to listen to his favorite jazz music while in Austin.

The Domain

Steven & Emilie’s old stomping grounds. They lived in The Domain together for two years. Walkable Austin area with restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.

The Oasis On Lake Travis

The food here is not the best but the view is amazing!!
