Christina and Steven met the way anybody meets these days - a swipe right on a dating app, Hinge. Christina was finishing up her finals for the semester, which Steven used as an opportunity to ask her to dinner to celebrate. Christina graciously accepted. The day of their date Christina had a horrible day in Clinic and even thought about cancelling. However, Steven drew her back in by asking if she wanted to grab a drink before dinner. Steven picked her up and the conversation flowed seamlessly all night. Steven listened to Christina explain the difficulties of her patient and even let her pick the wine at dinner - she knew he was a keeper. Steven was drawn to Christina's drive and let it slide when Christina chose a bottle of white over a bottle of red. The next day Steven invited Christina over to watch College Football all day with his friends. Christina already had plans, but decided to come over to watch the Big 10 Championship game, which Ohio State won - of course. Christina and Steven's love of Ohio State Football solidified their feelings for each other. The rest was history!

Steven and Christina went on a trip to New England, spending a night in Boston and exploring the city, before taking the Amtrak to Portland, Maine for the remainder of the weekend. Weeks prior, Steven shared his excitement about the lighthouses in Portland indicating it was a bucket list item for him to see. The first lighthouse they visited was full of large, uneven rocks. Steven led Christina to the edge, even though she was in a dress and heels, where they took some selfies and enjoyed the views. However, Christina couldn't figure out why Steven kept holding onto his vest pocket. They Ubered to another lighthouse, the Portland Head Light. Steven got out of the Uber and said, "Let me get my bearings straight and see where we are." Christina was again confused as they had never visited this lighthouse before. Steven led Christina to an open gate that he "read about on Reddit", which brought them to even more rocks! Steven wanted to go down further, but was unsure as Christina was in heels. However, Christina was adamant about getting a better view. Steven had a question he'd been wanting to ask Christina so he got down on one knee and proposed. Once he got up, he instructed Christina to turn around where she saw a photographer hiding! They then had a mini photoshoot with the beautiful Portland landscape. Christina was on cloud nine and could not imagine a better day. Steven then led her to a delicious dinner reservation where they continued the celebration. A week later Steven surprised Christina with an engagement party back in Columbus filled with many of her friends and family. Christina was shocked and amazed at Steven's planning and thoughtfulness. The engagement was everything she wanted and more.
