We met at a mutual friend's engagement party in Piedmont, SC! We didn't really get to know eachother until our friends set us up on a weekend trip to Albuquerque, NM (shoutout Emily and Shane!). We stayed up late talking about Steve's life in NJ and Ash's life in SC and we both knew early on that there was something there. When the short weekend was over, we spent every night on the phone and quickly started booking flights to spend time together.

Steve wanted to take a quick walk to the beach to go "check the waves" before we went to dinner with our parents. The not-so-quick walk should have cued Ashlyn into the surprise that was coming. We were walking until Steve got on one knee and asked Ashlyn to marry him. It was a blur for us both but it was so perfect! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
