For a few months, a mutual friend, Diana Hernandez, wanted Angelica and Steve to meet just to connect maybe for business, but also maybe for more. Finally, the opportunity presented itself for them to meet. 3 ladies and 1 guy at a table surrounded by thousands at the Wine Garden at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Secretly, Diana let Steve know that Angelica was coming as a part of the group, but did not share the same with Angelica. As the evening was wrapping up, Steve walked Angelica, Diana and Sonia to the car where Angelica was the designated driver. It was there that Steve got her number so that they could text to confirm that everyone made it home. After they all were home safely, Steve asked Angelica to meet again at another time. Since Angelica was headed to Las Vegas the next day for a family trip, they would not get together for at least a week later. The next week, it was the start of the auction season at the Rodeo. On that Sunday, Steve had already planned to attend the School Art Auction with a good friend. Guess what? Angelica serves on the School Art Auction Committee and would be at the auction on Sunday. Of course, he knew that she would be there and would have an opportunity to see her again. As Steven entered the auction, he saw Angelica from a distance and went straight over to say hello, properly removed his hat and kissed her on the cheek. Angelica was surprised to see him and continued to diligently work the auction. Steve invited to the rodeo the next night. From Steve's perspective, it was a night to get to know Angelica more, but not really a date. The next morning, Angelica shared with Steve that she had the hottest reservation for all of Houston: The Ranch and Saloon which was the first-ever, full-service restaurant at the Rodeo. Angelica didn't know at the time that her Prince Charming would be there on that day. So interesting how life goes. While having dinner, they discovered all the commonality they shared: both being business owners, having a passion to serve, a love for travel, strong spiritual background, and their love for laughter. As the rodeo season was ending, they found that they had additional similar interests and it really started to strengthen their connection. Finally, Steve formally asked Angelica to go on their first true date. They experienced an incredible meal and time with one another. It was a magical moment and one of many more to come. From there, the relationship continued to flourish and they created more magical moments as they traveled all over the US and the world, even to a couple Texas A&M football games! All of the travels weren't always just for fun as they mixed business with pleasure, however, they were full of magical moments for them to create and share as they became even more smitten with each other. It was the trip to the Amalfi Coast of Italy would change their lives forever. On that fortuitous trip, they went on a sunset cruise along the Amalfi Coast where the captain of the boat requested any music and they responded to hear Andrea Bocelli. The sun was setting, beautiful music was playing and a love for one another continued to blossom. It was another magical moment. One so magical they planned to see Bocelli perform live in New York City. It was really to be a quick three-day trip, however, it was not known what else would happen on that trip. You see, as they fell more deeply in love with each passing day, Steve was making secret plans to propose to Angelica. The magical proposal happened in Central Park and the rest is history for them to share with everyone on August 12.
