Angel and Steven first met in California, while attending high school at Harbor Teacher Preparation Academy (HTPA). During their high school years, Angel led the dance team, as co-captain, with the hottest moves winning competitions and trophies taller than Steven. At the same time, Steven was catching boards on the basketball team. She didn't know it back then, but it was there that Angel started rooting for her future husband. College and other life experiences forced space between them but inevitably they found each other again, after almost twenty years. After being back in each others' lives, they knew right away they couldn't continue life without each other. On March 7, 2026 the two held a small ceremony, amongst their closest friends and under the eyes of the Lord, at St. Paul Baptist Church, near their home of Prairieville, Louisiana. Although already married, Angel and Steven knew that they missed something very important to them. They knew that what would make their union complete would be for their families and friends to meet and celebrate their love. They plan to celebrate their first year of marriage with a vow renewal, in front of their family and friends in Atlanta, Georgia.
