They say the best love stories begin with a spark but ours started with a swipe. We met on Hinge, and from our very first conversation, something felt different. It was effortless, genuine, and full of potential. We like to think of it as love at first swipe. Our first date was at The Keg on April 22, 2024. No big gestures, just good food, easy conversation, and that rare feeling that you’ve known someone longer than you actually have. We talked for hours and left knowing we wanted to see each other again. In those early days, we were constantly on the move, often in different cities or time zones. But we made it work. Every call, text, and shared photo kept us close. It turns out you don’t need to be in the same place for something real to grow, just two people willing to show up for each other. We come from opposite sides of the country: Steve from Vancouver, and Alexandria from Richmond Hill, Ontario. Alexandria moved to Vancouver looking for a change, and found something worth staying for. The city quickly became part of our story, and now it’s home. On April 13, 2025, during a trip to Jamaica, Steve proposed. It was a quiet moment by the sea, simple and honest, and it felt like the right time.
