Steven and I did not meet right off the bat. We actually had gotten to know one another via a social media site. He was among a group in a social chat and at first, we exchanged pleasantries and left it at that. One evening as a few of the other people in the group were making small talk they suggested that pictures be shared so that anyone new to the group would know whom they were talking to, this was to make everyone feel more comfortable. I was not one to be so easily swayed by someone via the internet but the moment I saw Steven's picture I was at a loss for words. He was incredibly handsome, I think the first thing I noticed were his beautiful eyes. They were so gentle and kind. Next, it was his amazing smile. It made me melt. I knew I wanted to get to know more about this mystery man from the group chat. A few weeks after the initial picture exchange Steven and I spent a lot of time conversing over the phone and Duo. We got to know the most intimate parts of each other's lives and even more exciting was that the social media site that we were a part of was to have a gathering at a local venue for everyone to get to know each other. I remember driving to my destination and being so nervous, I was going to meet the man that seemed to be a mere dream for quite some time. I pulled into my destination and I couldn't move. I was frozen with anxiety and fear. I messaged Steven via text and asked if he would please meet me outside and walk with me as I was afraid. He did not hesitate. In a few moments I seen the man from my Duo sessions walking toward my vehicle with a smile on his face as I stood to introduce myself he reached out and gave me a reassuring hug and introduced himself, from that day I knew I never wanted to leave his side and here we are ...... planning for our wedding ceremony and continuing our lives as husband and wife and sharing it with friends and family.
