Hike - Volcan Pacaya
Volcán Pacaya is one of Guatemala’s most active and well-known volcanoes. It is part of the Pacific Ring of Fire and has been continuously active for many years, offering visitors the opportunity to see live volcanic activity, such as flowing lava or smoking craters. The hike to the summit of Volcán Pacaya typically takes around 1.5 to 2.5 hours. From the summit, you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscape, including nearby volcanoes like Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. On a clear day, the views are incredible! Please note that you are required to go through a tour service to hike the volcano. We’ve partnered with Maya Trails for those interested in hiking the volcano.
